ASI Celebrates International Sommelier Day, June 3rd
With 2021 being the ASI “Year of the Sommelier” what better day than International Sommelier Day to come together and celebrate sommelliere? Members of the ASI Board of Directors will participate in special International Sommelier Day webinars hosted on Zoom and Facebook Live for a global audience. One webinar will be hosted for ASI’s Asia and Oceania community while a second webinar will be conducted for Europe, Africa and the Americas. Host Liora Levi, ASI’s Experience Manager, will begin the session with a short round table discussion with the ASI board members. In this segment, the board members will be encouraged to share their insights on what has happened with ASI over the last 6 months and inform participants of all the exciting initiatives planned for the months and years to come. Following the opening segment, sommeliers will be encouraged to describe a wine that is special to them and represents their journey as a sommelier.
Sommeliers have two options to participate. They may join the webinar and be part of the live toast via zoom or watch live on the ASI Facebook page.

ASI Webinars Get Sommeliers Talking
In a time when face-to-face conversation was impossible, ASI rose to the challenge and created a virtual platform for sommeliers to exchange ideas, inspiration and experiences. Every month four sommeliers have come together with industry leaders, thinkers, movers and shakers to talk about the things on all of our minds. Whether you’re looking to receive advice, ask questions, or simply connect, each one hour monthly webinar is streamed live on Facebook and then archived for later viewing on our Youtube channel. Topics include digitization, legacy, terroir and sustainability among many others. Each discussion is enriched with your participation in the comments during the event, as well as in social media before and after.
