• Dekanteerimine, õiged klaasid ja vajalikud töövahendid
• Põhiteadmised veinidest ja kangematest jookidest
• Toidu ja joogi sobitamise alused
• Erialase sõnavara omandamine

The SSA flagship course, the Certified Sake Sommelier, is a fantastic way to expand both your sake knowledge and sommelier skills. The Certified Sake Sommelier is accessible to trained professionals and sake connoisseurs alike and provides an unbeatable level of sake education and practical knowledge.

This 2-day course covers the following points:

Day 1:

• History & culture
• Sake production
• Sake tasting of the different ‘grades’ & sake cocktail

Day 2

• Sake labels understanding, and sake tasting of ‘alternative’ sake
• Serving, sake vessels, and temperatures
• Umami and food pairing
• Exam

The course ends with a 45-minute exam that includes a written part and a blind taste. Those who pass the exam will receive later a SSA Sake Sommelier certificate and enamel pin and be eligible to apply to the Master Sake Sommelier course, the Sake Sommelier of the Year competition, as well as potential judges for the SSA Sake Challenge.

Duration: 2 days, 8.30–17.00 (pre-study required before the course)

Price: 615€ (payable in 3 parts if you register before March 12, or in 2 parts if you register between March 12 and April 12)

The course fee is non-refundable unless the course is canceled or postponed.

The fee includes lunch on the two days and the tasting of 16 sake but does NOT include dinner, accommodation, or transport.

Educator: Jerome Bronzini, SSA Sake Sommelier and Sake Educator, is a certified Sake Professional by the Sake Education Council and one of about 200 Sake Scholars worldwide.

The Sake Sommelier Association (SSA) is the oldest non-Japanese body that has provided formal sake education around the globe for 25 years.
